Lisa Decina-Muroff

Lisa Decina-Muroff, Founder and President of DKM Risk Advisors, established in 1999. DKM Risk Advisors is a Certified Woman Owned Business, WBE with New York State and New York City, and a Certified DBE, Disadvantage Business Enterprise, and Certified with The Port Authority NY & NJ providing Insurance, Risk Management, Subcontractor Qualification platform and Consultant.     

Lisa has over three decades of experience as a recognized Insurance Industry Leader and a subject matter expert for Construction and related industry.  Lisa started her insurance career at Rollins Burdick Hunter Group/AON, from National to Regional brokerage experience working on all business verticals. 

She sphere headed the Property & Casualty start-up for the only recognized MTA Broker working in conjunction with the acclaimed Mentorship program. Lisa has worked on construction projects in excess of $100,000,000 for private and public sector.  

In her constant commitment to professional development Lisa completed the Construction Management program at Pace University, sponsored by Port Authority NY & NJ.  Her other accolades include Insurance Designations as a Certified Professional Insurance Agent, CPIA a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist, CRIS and a Certified Insurance Counselor, CIC and her ongoing CPCU.

A longtime supporter, and previous board member of the Suffolk County Women’s Business Coalition.  Lisa has been an advocate for women and diversity throughout her career.  Her leadership and accomplishments were built on her strategic vision and her passion for inclusiveness. She completed executive learning through Yale for “Management and Advanced Leadership”.   

Lisa was an award recipient of the “Women of the Distinction” 6th Annual Women Leadership Award by Rebecca Seawright, Assemblymember 76th District who is also a champion and advocate for Women in Businesses.  

Lisa is the founding President of Metro New York, Women Contractors Owners & Executives Metro Chapter.  WCOE, USA is committed to making a positive difference for women in the Construction industry. 

Lisa is founding the WIFS Long Island Chapter, WIFS National mission is to empower women in the Insurance and Financial services to succeed. 

Lisa’s enthusiasm and her energy extends far beyond her business, she is a Missionary within her Parish as well as in her community.  Lisa is married with two sons and a daughter her family are the cornerstone and she leads her life by example.  She is a Trusted Girl Scout Leader for her daughter working on their  Silver Award helping young girls rise to meet new challenges, find their voice, make changes and become future leaders.
